About Us

Thank you for your interest in To the Moon!

My name is Christina McKearin, and I am the sole owner and operator of this small business. I started To the Moon in January of 2017, when I was pregnant with my first daughter (second child). My mission was to make pretty clothing for little girls, but has become much more than this.

I've always enjoyed making things and sewing, and from an early age, was taught by my mother to smock, sew, embroider, crochet and knit. I learned to quilt in college, and to make clothing as a child. Needless to say, my designs have come a long way since then.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture and Natural Resources from Berea College, and a Master's Degree in Teaching from Spalding University, and am a former Biology, Chemistry, Physical Science teacher for grades 6-12. I paused my teaching career in 2017 to stay at home with my daughter, and begin this business.

Serging ruffles for diaper covers! Ruffle Diaper Covers and my fuel of choice- Vanilla LatteKnitting and crochet are also my loves. Cute messy bun beanies!

I aspire to share beauty with others through the things I make, and to be able to walk in the footsteps of some of the most selfless people I know- my late mother and father. They both inspired and motivated me to always do my best at anything I want to do, and because of them I can say that my love of sewing is only outdone by my love for sharing with others.
